We believe in the innate potential of every individual to excel and do good. As such, we shall endeavor to provide, at all times, a Christian environment that fosters good study habits, quality education, academic freedom, trust and confidence, creativity and excellence; and which recognizes as well as rewards accomplishments and hard work; and promotes teamwork, openness and integrity.

Vision
Total quality education through excellence in instruction rendered by recognized leaders in the field of education.

Philosophy
The Manuel L. Quezon University was founded on the principle of Know Thyself. On its logo is emblazoned the words, Pro Patria et Jure: For Country and Law. From these words are implied the ideals to which the Founding Fathers committed themselves:
  • Service to country and people
  • Acceptance of the supremacy of the Law
  • Untrammeled search for truth
  • Correct understanding and exercise of human rights
  • Wise use of freedom
  • Academic Excellence and professional competence enriched with Christian values.

History of MLQU..

The Manuel L. Quezon University is founded on the principle of Know Thyself. On its logo is emblazoned the words Pro Patria et Jure: For Country and Law. It owes its existence to the idealism of the seven men, who envisioned an institution that would provide ambitious but financially disadvantaged young people with the education and professional training needed to get ahead in life. The seven men are seen below. It was founded in 1947 by several prominent justices and lawyers who saw the need for a quality educational institution catering to the less privileged. Among these visionaries were:

Leoncio B. Monzon Lorenzo M. TaƱada   Arsenio P. Dizon   Carmelino G. Alvendia

Jose B. L. Reyes Manuel O. Chan Anselmo S. Claudio
